Gay Men Snickers Smooch
Here's where you can find the controversial Snickers commercial featuring 2 guys locking lips over a Snickers bar:http://snipurl.com/SnickersKiss. Not for the faint of heart.
I can't believe the fuss you guys made on the air about this commercial. I had not seen it so I came here to watch it. I thought it was going to be 2 men slobbering, tounge twisting all over each other (puke!) and I really wanted to know WHY would Snickers put that on TV. Talk about a major let down! I can't believe you guys blew this so waaayyy out of proportion!! I think Drew is a homophobe!
Your mom's a homophobe! Seriously, though, I assure you I am far from a homophobe. I won't use the lame "some of my best friends are gay" thing, but I will say that there are a significant number of gay people around me. I have come to believe that for the most part, you're either born gay or you're not.
With that said, most straight people (not just guys) aren't into the thought of 2 guys kissing. Tongue or no tongue, candy bar or turd between them, it doesn't matter. It's yucky and to use that to sell a candy bar is not the best marketing strategy. Not just from my perspective, but from almost all of our callers as well.
Thanks a lot for listening and for coming to the website to check out our blog. I hope you continue to comment and listen.
